Events

Welcome to the Goods and Provisions EVENTS page. Here you will find events we will be participating in through the year as well as workshops. We love handmade things and appreciate the process of creation. Our mother encouraged learning how to make beautiful things as a way to be frugal, and make something uniquely your own. We also love coming together with other humans to break bread, learn, and create. Our small group workshops include food, beverages, supplies and instruction to craft your own work of art. We also send you off with a giftbag full of treats to help carry the good energy home. Past workshops have included natural dyes and shibori resists, wreath making, and embroidered Valentines.

Goods and Provisions is hitting the road to visit friends and participate in the Chattanooga based SheBop Vintage Market the weekend of April 17th. To start things off we are offering a small, outdoor workshop on Saturday April 17th. Anastacia Creative Director of Goods and Provisions will be teaching embroidery stitches based on the Japanese art of sashiko. Anastacia is a stylist, fiber artist, and photographer who enjoys sharing her ways to repurpose existing materials.

The “Not Your Grandma’s Stitch and Bitch” will include repurposed fabric, cotton embroidery floss, sashiko and other embroidery needles as the main materials. Anastacia will help participants learn and practice on three assorted sized fabric pieces which can be used as patches, framed as art, or however you wish.

Adult beverages and vegan snacks will be part of our time together. Bring your bitches (and joys too) for story sharing as we safely gather together.

The workshop is $30 per person and being held outdoors at Hair a go-go 1000 Dallas Rd Suite 104 Chattanooga, TN.
